The Azure Wave Gown

£1,200.00

A breathtaking, one-of-a-kind sustainable couture piece that champions extraordinary texture and fluidity. Crafted from ethically sourced Royal Blue deadstock material, this gown offers unique comfort and an exceptional, body-draping fit.

Silhouette & Texture: The gown features a smooth, fitted bodice that gives way to an extraordinary, voluminous skirt. The key to its drama is the construction: the fabric is knitted, allowing for subtle stretch and movement. This transitions into a cascading overlay of rough-cut, layered fabric ribbon that gives the piece incredible three-dimensional depth and dynamic flow. Use with or without the same material ribbon belt.

The Drama: The low, draped back and subtle off-the-shoulder straps create an elegant frame. The extended layered fabric forms a magnificent, dynamic train, ensuring a grand and textural entrance from every angle.

Size S/M

Sustainability Note: This piece exemplifies high-end upcycling, transforming deadstock material into a singular, show-stopping gown with an ethical conscience.

This piece is a wearable sculpture—a magnificent choice for black-tie events, gallery openings, or any occasion demanding powerful, unique sophistication.

Care Instructions: Due to the complex, multi-layered knitted structure, the layered ribbon details, and its one-of-a-kind nature, specialised, gentle care is mandatory.

Cleaning: Professional Dry Cleaning is Highly Recommended. While the knit fabric may be washable, the layered ribbon and overall complex structure can be severely damaged by home laundering agitation or water weight. Handle with care. Avoid snagging the rough-cut fabric layers on jewellery or rough surfaces. Store the gown flat in a temperature-controlled environment, or hang on a wide, padded hanger inside a breathable garment bag to protect the shape of the sculpted bodice and the volume of the skirt. Do not iron. If wrinkles occur, use a garment steamer on a low setting, holding the steamer far from the fabric, particularly the textured areas, to avoid flattening the knitted structure and appliqués.

Size Guide

All KUDERA pieces are vintage and sized by how they fit like today, rather than by the original garment label. Each item is personally tried on by the KUDERA founder to determine the most accurate modern fit.

Our sizing follows a simple, modern guide (XS, S, M, L etc ) to help you understand how each vintage piece would compare to contemporary clothing.

We always recommend checking the listed measurements and comparing them with a similar piece you already own before purchasing. If you’re unsure, please reach out - we’re happy to help with sizing advice.
